GIF Speed FAQ

How does the speed change work?
The tool rewrites each frame's delay in the GIF's own timing table — 2× speed halves every delay. The pixel data is untouched, so there is no quality loss.
What are the speed limits?
0.25× (four times slower) to 4× (four times faster). The GIF format stores delays in hundredths of a second, so extreme factors round to the nearest tick.
Does the file leave my device?
Never. The retime is a byte-level edit performed locally in your browser.
