How to use GIF Resize
- 1Select the GIF to resize — every frame is decoded on your device.
- 2Enter the target width (the height follows the aspect ratio), or enable center-crop for a square output.
- 3Check the resulting dimensions shown before encoding.
- 4Download the resized GIF — delays and looping are preserved exactly.
GIF Resize FAQ
- Does resizing change the animation?
- No. Frame delays and loop behavior are preserved — only the pixel dimensions change (or the square crop is applied frame by frame).
- Can I crop instead of scale?
- Yes. Enable the center-crop option and the output becomes square, with each frame center-cropped before scaling. The tool shows the final dimensions before you download.
- Is there a file-size limit?
- Only your device's memory — processing is local. Very large GIFs simply take longer in your browser and are never uploaded.
